Welcome to St. John's
St. John's would like to welcome Angela Bolenbaugh to the St. John's Church Staff. Angela began working as our new Executive Secretary on Tuesday, April 22. Bert is training her until she retires on May 2. Angela is a member of St. John's along with her husband, Brad. They have four children: Holly, Bradley Cole, Dylan and Tyler. The Personnel Committee and Church Board previously announced that another person, Janet, had been hired to be Bert's replacement. Subsequent to that announcement, Janet declined the job. We are happy to have someone as qualified as Angela Bolenbaugh to step in.
Associate Pastor Search Committee
The committee has met with Rev. Dr. Thomas Webster of the I/K Conference and completed a profile including leadership expectations, references, and statement on leadership in ministry. Bob Turner, Chairman, will attend the next Board meeting to give them an update and share information on the financial package for the new position.

Cub Scouts
The Cub Scout Pack has been busy finishing up the year. All 3 Tigers were awarded their badges in February at the Blue and Gold Banquet. Six Wolves, two Bears, and five first-year Webelos received their badges at the April 29th meeting. The second year Webelos will be receiving their Arrow of Light badges at a special awards ceremony to be held at Ouabache Trails Park in May. Our summer will also be very busy as we have two activities a month to attend, including day camp to be held at Camp Arthur the last of June. We will walk in the 4th of July parade, so look for the boys to catch some candy. We can't forget about the annual camping trip to Camp Arthur for the boys to enjoy hot dogs and s'mores.
